New House

Adjustments should be slow and gentle.

Many dogs don't take changes in stride. A move to a new house may be very stressful and a dog may not adjust quickly to its new back yard or run.

To help it overcome its anxiety, play outside with the dog for a while, then end the play by tossing it a treat as you go inside. Go out again a few minutes later for more play. Repeat the in-and-out routine, gradually increasing the time you remain in the house and shortening the time you spend outside. Don't let the dog in unless it is quiet.
