Snow Fun

Winter can be great fun for people and dogs, too.

Most dogs enjoy romping in the snow, especially when children share in the fun. The northern breeds thrive on his activity and could frolic all day. Others may last only about as long as a small child before needing to come in and be dried off.

If your dog is snowbound, don't forget lo take precautions during winter months. After an outdoor adventure, remove ice and snow from your dog's legs and between the pads of the feet. Provide a bowl of fresh water, then leave your dog alone to snooze by the fire or in a patch of sunshine. Winter can be an enjoyable time for both dogs and people.
